(to my one, maybe two devoted readers)I was able to go to Toronto for the IAJE (International Association for Jazz Education) Conference through work. We stayed in a killer hotel, and I also got to hook up with my good friend Steve Cooper who lives there, who I haven't seen since my wedding in over 10 years ago. We had a good time catching up, and walking around downtown. We also had hat night in the Toronto Souvenir Shops. Always a good time.
The conference was okay. Nothing spectacular. I got to hang with a bunch different AF Band cats, and hear a lot of good stories about that. So that was pretty hip. I'm glad I got to go, but I think they should rethink having their conference here ever again.

I love this blog...I haven't thought about Steve Cooper in a long time. It took me back to camp!
