Rockin with Page Hamilton of Helmet
Troy got to play with one of his huge musical influences last night. Page Hamilton of the band Helmet. Troy's Band, Saturday Sleeper (not Air Force), was asked to be his band for the night, seeing as though the rest of his band did not come all the way up to Alaska.
Troy had an absolute blast, and Page was very impressed with the band. He said he would like to come up and do another show with them. Who would of thought that this would of happened in Alaska of all places?!

My Shining Moment
Although we posted this pic on the family blog, I thought this was worthy of another. For those of you that don't know, this is at the Iron Dog race start. The Griffin Family and the Governor!

Chronicles Of A Spiller

I am starting a new topic for my blog, hence the above...
Anyway, I've come to realize that I am the ultimate Spiller. Most who know me, this is no surprise, but let me give a touch of background.
I was at Thanksgiving dinner at the in-laws, and my sister-in-law brought her boyfriend. I managed to spill milk on him not once, but twice in one sitting. Pretty impressive right?
I hadn't really thought about this topic since it hasn't really been happening. Well, it was just dormant. Since our family's trek to Alaska started I have come back with a vengeance.
I managed to spill an entire Monster drink in my sister-in-law's in-law's house. (you follow?)
Then, we got on the Alaska Marine Highway System (ferry to Alaska), and spilled Diet Dr. Pepper all over Heidi's pajamas, and spilled coffee all over her today.
Even worse, I've passed this gene on to Madeleine. Before I spilled coffee on Heidi today, Maddie did it first...
So, now I've decided to embrace this trait of mine, and start to document the truly monumental spills. It will have to be on the honor system that you just trust I will not orchestrate any of the spills.
More to follow...
